The Little Belters Story
Little Belters was set up in 2011 by opera-singing sisters Claire and Tina O’Brien. The first group was established in Altrincham. The idea was simple – to provide quality, fun group singing and choral lessons for children who LOVE to sing. No audition required.

Claire and Tina entered BBC Dragons’ Den with a small number of brave Little Belters by their side. Despite not gaining investment, the children’s singing wowed the fearsome Dragons and even melted a couple of hearts. https://youtu.be/66XrghMYK4Y14th September 2015
We set up new Little Belters groups in Cheadle Hulme, Didsbury and Sale and a SECOND Little Belters group in Altrincham20146th December 2014
We performed at Manchester Cathedral for the first time. We have been back every year since with all of our groups.21st November 2014
We appeared on CBBCs Friday Download!10th May 2014
We led a major community singing project called ALTRINCHAM SINGS involving hundreds of local volunteer singers. As a result of this our Mums’ Choir “Absolute Belters” was born! https://youtu.be/uQ9JGubEUuE22nd February 2014
We went into the recording studio to work with Swedish DJ and Producer Sebjak1st January 2014
Little Belters won the award for “Best After School Activity” by parenting website “Mums in the Know”.201312th September 2013
Following the success of the Altrincham group, a second group was set up in Chorlton. Numbers grew quickly and soon both groups were performing at big community events in their local areas.28th April 2013
Little Belters won the Award for Best Entertainment at the Manchester Marathon. We have performed every year since at the halfway point and on the home straight!201212th January 2013
