The Little Belters Story
Little Belters was set up in 2011 by opera-singing sisters Claire and Tina O’Brien. The first group was established in Altrincham. The idea was simple – to provide quality, fun group singing and choral lessons for children who LOVE to sing. No audition required.

Little Belters joined Jane Macdonald at Media City to record her “Jane and Friends” Christmas Special.1st July 2018
Little Belters Summer Spectacular at the Royal Northern College of Music, in which all our groups came together to perform.May 2018
Some of our members went into the recording studio again, to record a song for the national ‘Clean Air Project’ with Gas Music at Media City.23rd May 2018
Some of our Little Belters visited Media City to film a top-secret Christmas Special with Mr Tumble from CBEEBIES.22nd May 2018
All the Belters participated in “Manchester Together – With One Voice” – the official memorial concert to commemorate the 1-year anniversary of the Manchester Arena tragedy. All the Belters sang their hearts out in remembrance of the victims of the Manchester terror attack.2017December 2017
All the Belters groups performed at Prevent Breast Cancer’s Christmas Celebration at Manchester Cathedral.December 2017
Little Belters featured in the THANKUNHS Christmas song. Little Belters sang the lead vocals on the track and featured in the video alongside Shaun Ryder, Jonny Vegas and Julie Hesmondhalgh.December 2017

The Sale Little Belters performed for the very first time at the Sale Christmas Lights Switch On.14th November 2017

Little Belters performed at the brand-new music festival ‘Harfest’ in Altrincham. Little Belters shared the stage with the former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce, Clint Boon and Mary-Anne Hobbs.18th June 2017
We will perform our first major gig with all our Little Belters, Teen Belters and Absolute Belters groups together at the 600-seat Manchester Monasery in Gorton.25th April 2017
We started working with CBeebies Radio and CBeebies TV on a project for BBC Music Day.1st January 2017

We partnered up with the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity – at all our public events we raise funds for them! We regularly perform at events that raise money for worthy causes including Prevent Breast Cancer and the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.13th September 2016
We launched Teen Belters for 11-16 year olds.
